The septum piercing is very back in style. I find myself doing at least 6 or so a week (sometimes a day!). I could be happier about this because it's always been one of my favourites.

When I first started my apprenticeship, we would master (under strict supervision) one piercing before we moved on to the next. When the time came for me to start doing septum's i was needless to say no less then terrified to take on this procedure... I thought to myself "how can I know it will turn out straight?!?!"....
The haunting reality of me having to do my first one, on a dear friend no less, was fast approaching and all I could feel was doubt.

That fateful Saturday afternoon finally came. I walked up the stairs to get to the studio only to see my mentor packing up to leave for a last minute weekend trip to Toronto.... I mentioned that I should call my friend to reschedule the appointment since  he wouldn't be present but he quickly squashed that and told me to do it anyways....

"But what if I pierce it crooked?"
"Don't get it crooked"
"No no but what if I get it crooked.."
"Don't get it crooked. Bye"

Yup.... sink or swim... Happy ending... I didn't pierce it crooked :)

Inspirationl

Remembering being younger... lol....
This girl came in the other day with her mom, dad and little brother. She couldn't of been more then 13 or 14. She brought a picture of an anime heroin with 2 ear piercings with her. She wanted it replicated on her ear so bad for so long that finally her parents brought her in to get it done. The whole family was in the room while she got it done and it was a fabulous experience to say the least. They were all so close with each other! Even the little brother was supportive and excited for her to finally get them done.

After a few placement changes we all eagerly agreed on the positions of the piercings and were very pumped to do them. They turned out exactly how she and her mother envisioned they would look like.

Big rounds of hugs and smiles were shared by all of us and she couldn't of been happier to have created the look she wanted. First steps in creating your outer style are so important and etching to ones self. I remember the first outfit I replicated from a magazine cover I felt inspired by. After that I started building my look and personality with more confidence and ease. Made me strong and confident. Hopefully I helped her in that first step and her fragile confidence will keep blossoming into a strong independent one.

These aren't the greatest pictures and don't do her beauty photo justice but I still had to share and post.

*the part I loved the most about this experience was seeing that beaming smile....

Madisson dermal

I had a Madisson piercing for well over 10 years. I had a ring in there and it proved to make me the center od attention everywhere I went lol. Grocery cashiers would ALWAYS ask me about it, random people on the street would stop to comment and my clients always made it the center of our conversation. I got accustomed to being described as "the girl with her neck pierced".

Obviously times have changed and the shock value of piercing has dramaticly died down. I dont think people would comment as much anymore, although I think every cashier still would lol.

I adore this neck dermal. If I would get my Madisson redone I would go this route this time around.

*did you know the Madisson piercing was named after a porn star in  the early '90s that had her neck pierced... She got VERY into body modification and was known to be "fetishy pierced and tattooed"...
My, have times ever changed....

A few summertime piercing photos :)

Been hard at it this summer. Lots of fun and interesting piercing procedures . Can't wait for the fall look of layering clothing and showing off facial piercings. I love the look of scarves double wrapped the neck and lovely medusa piercings.

Back from the vast a sleep.

I promise I will post some cool new pics very soon. I have been a bit sleepy lately but I'm back!!!!
Stay tuned for some great shots.

The lovely spine of Emile

Projects are fun. They can be long and hard but well worth it. Most of the time it's getting the damn jewelry in thats the pain in thne ass! lol

Emile is working on a spine dermal project that will include about 20 in total. :)
Great client. Only complains about the positioning of the nose while the procedure is going on LOL
